Forza Palermo

Could be a cracking match. Amazed none of the Wes Stam goons have been on here larging it. Cant see them getting through the tie.

Which would be a shame naturally. :D

Has he?

I must of missed those interviews. Only seen the ones where he's stated he wants to eventualy get us moving up a level.

Spurs giving it a go?

So all the teams in the UEFA Cup are of exactly the same standard, and they're going through because they showed more hunger?

Or could it be that they drew relatively easier opposition and got a decent away win.

We're (in all likelihood) going out against decent opposition.

And will have a great time over in Sicily regardless.

No biggie.

I wouldn't make predictions like that until everyone is back in one piece.

True enough.

Guess if I do get batoned round the head by an over zealous politzi, or stabbed in the legs by a passing scooterist, it will put a downer on the general dolcha vita feel.

From Italians on our forums, Palermo is a relatively ok place to visit compared with some of the Italian grounds.

Then again some of our stalls selling Mafiosa tickets seem to have stirred their spaghetti a bit, so who knows.

Mafiosa t-shirts even.

Selling cheap tacky T-shirts for your European games, eh?

How classy! :nea:

It's not official club shop stuff.

They specialise more in your expensive and tacky.

I know they're not official.

Fancy somebody just knocking a load of cheap shirts out, though. What is the world coming to?

??11.70?

WTF?

I reckon ??8 is a fair price for a T-shirt.

They sold more than 10, I tell thee.

When we made it out of the group stages, it was down to 7 clubs we could draw, 2 in Bucharest, Strasbourg, Monaco, Marseille, Seville and Palmero.

Obviously we had routes planned to all, with browsers open ready to book at the press of a button (Stansted->Palermo). I really didn't fancy Bucharest or Palermo, I can tell you.

Really?

I wish I'd known. I would have bought one.

Having "come unstuck" at a match in Turin in April I wish all the West Ham fans a safe trip.

Don't let your guard down lads, they are sneaky bstrds.

I read about that. Their chairman was royally pissed off. Saying that any links between Palermo and the Mafia is nonsense.

He himself being under investigation currently for 'mafia-esque' activity. Made me chuckle that did.
