i used to go in there upto about 3 seasons ago, me and the rest of the marple whites now go in the hotel instead. barnstormers was going down fast the bear was geting shit and they stoped doing doing food as well witch was the last straw.

and herein lies the problem with modern pub life,

you need a pint and have to wait for someone to order duck a lorange

with new baby potatos and frois gras.

Heard the bouncer on the door of the hotel telling some boro fans

to head to barnstormers for a pint !!

Bromilow and Barnstomers are known as away pubs

As is the Beehive.

barnstormers is not an 'away' pub

 

at least it wasn't before this season

 

as for boro, i've always got a beer up there and never had any trouble

To be honest don't really go in Barnstormers but i did on Saturday and there was quite a few Boro in as there was in the Bromilow, i don't mind a few away fans in as long as the place doesn't get taken over

 

As for Boro away been a few times and the town centre is not far from the ground so you have a you have a full selection of the pubs

Normally a Home pub. Now a mixed pub. Not sure one that close to the ground will work. You will get too many away fans "invading" early on.

Regarding the bouncers, it was dead money. Paying ??xxx for games like watford and m'boro is just chucking money away.

as for the food, it was proper post match fodder, chips, pie, a gallon of gravy and a barm. washed down with 7 pints of bitter. beltin. set up up for the rest of the night.
