I'm only missing Chester at home in the FRT in 86/87 in that era....??ts available off a dealer for ??2 when i get round to it.

Coventry in the League Cup in 90/91 is the last at Burnden im without and the others ones i dont have are from the first two seasons at the Reebok....BWFC produced A4 size programmes those seasons and i cant be bothered collecting/storing them tbh.

Would be better going to another lucky punter to add to their collection.

reet, programme collectors, not for me but everyone has a hobby.

anyrode, is it common for someone to have every single programme for a particular club, from their first game against pontius piltates guest XI, to last weeks away win at Northampton?

come on, give me some stattos stuff.

There's an Everton collector who has every one of their homes from the first one (against Astley Bridge) in the 1800s,but i'd be surprised if there are more than 50 people who have a full set of their teams homes from the beginning. Most clubs will have a full set in their safes.

Ruth probably has every Bolton programme since the war but she will be missing many pre war ones.

To start with it would be very difficult to find someone who is selling Liverpool at home in 1904/05 and anything from that season would be a miminum of ??500 each, probably ??1-2k in the current market.

For people on average wages it is not easy to justify buying more than one of those a year to their other half.

And with over 500 pre war Bolton homes, only millionaires could start an all time Bolton collection tomorrow.

On sizes of collections the editor of Programme Monthly who is a collector not a dealer, thinks his 30,000 programmes is "of reasonable size"

I've only got about a tenth of that number.

Great stuff Kurt, that is the one!!

I went to the game (i think gary bennett scored their winner) and got the programme which was given away to everyone who turned up.

But it was just a flimsy 4 pager and it got damaged and thrown away.

Both the FRT ties against Burnley were the same that season but i kept those.

Look at their number 5, a good mate of ours in Athy, every time we played them we got the whole Burnden terrace singing, "Barry Butler you're a w'anker" it were funny at the time until you turned out and his dad wanted to tw@t you, good lad tho

and it was the referee who gave Blackpool that penalty against Winny in the Northern Final

Kurt if nobody else wants them I will take them off your hands and go straight to Happy Wanderers Paypal account and Bung him, so to speak.

I enjoy collecting programmes from years gone by but haven't recorded what I have and haven't got for a while. I bought the 1958 cup final prog in mint condition recently at a charity auction at The Reebok run by Gartside's son. I spent over ??200 that night on BWFC programmes and memorabilia that night.

p.s. don't tell missus zozzy that I am asking for these :)

I don't remember that friendly against Sunderland in 1983. How did that come about.

it would have been the day before fa cup4 i think

probably both without a game

give me some notice and i might have a :drinks: with you.

Bolton had got beaten at Highbury,Sunderland had lost a replay at Maine Rd.

Bolton would have had Leeds at home and Sunderland would have had Brighton away.

p.s. don't tell missus zozzy that I am asking for these :)

Aye dont, Mrs Zoozy phoned him after the blackburn match at Ewood last year and gave him a right earfull :D

Hi

If you have any programmes for the Whites at Torquay, Hartlepool or York that you could let me have, that'd be great.

:)
