There's a megabus London to Cardiff.

A flying carpet from one of those Istanbul Bazaar shops will work out the cheapest way Thomas, well that's if you're going to do the journey regularly, Otherwise I'd invest in a pogo stick if it's a one off trip (If it involves a bird I'd go for the pogo stick option)

Get the train to Blackpool North then board the 445 bus to Stanley Park. Upon arrival, hire a motor boat by declaring 'I'll have one of those nautical fish mittens Feltchmaister Sword Swallower, and don't spare the horses' When the attendant isn't looking, drive into Blackpool sea then follow the coast round until you reach Cardiff, also kidnap a couple of oars just in case the engine packs in, there are plenty in the Dali Bar if you are struggling

Get on the blower to Dr Doolittle and ask him if you can borrow his giant moth

 

Strap a Chesterfield to it's back then off you go, make sure it's a 3 seater than you have sufficient space for two hitchikers should the situation arise
