The GM Chicken (you'll need to be 'mechanically minded' to understand this one!)

One day, two scientists were talking about their current projects ...

Scientist A was 'into energy conservation' and was working on a way to replace petrol engines.

Scientist B was trying to Genetically modify animals to help ease world famine.

Scientist A was complaining that, so far he'd had no luck.

Scientist B however had just successfully created a 15 foot tall chicken!

After a bit of discussion, Scientist A suddenly came up with a GREAT idea ...

What if we strapped one of your chickens to the front of a car!

They decide to try it and, after disconnecting the engine from Scientist A's car they strapped this HUGE chicken onto the front of it with a bit of rope. They pointed the car towards the motorway, opened the sun - roof and started throwing handfuls of corn out in front of the chicken!

The chicken immediately gave chase and, before long, they were going like a bat out of hell along the M25!

Unfortunately though, the chicken was SO fast that, very soon, the rope snapped and they were forced to coast the car to the hard - shoulder and stop.

They both agreed however that the experiment had been a success and were merrily talking about it as they went about the task of reconnect the engine so that they could go in search of the chicken. Just then ...

A Police - Car pulled up and a patrolman walked over to them to see if they needed any help.

" Having some problems gentleman", asks the policeman.

" YES, say the Scientists" ...

Well done, 10 points!

Fair play to the guy for his 0g/KM car. I'm just concerned about all that methane he's producing.

Your go Frank!

Reet then, I'll get em all googling. What was the worlds most recently discovered element? If my memory serves me correctly, it was discovered in 1994 and is no. 111 in the Periodic Table.

That got it highbrow, huh?

111 is Roentgenium and was discovered in 1994 but they are now up to 118 which had gone by the temporary IUPAC name of Ununoctium and proof of its existence was published in the American Physical Society journal Physical Review C on October 9, 2006.
