I seem to be in a minority of one.

Everytime I raise this issue about spelling/grammar I don't get anyone agreeing with me so I think I will admit defeat and move on

I agree with Zozzy... having a firm view about grammar does not do any harm.

 

Also, I note we all get upset and are quick to challenge "Chav Speak", so if we shout down a person who supports proper grammar then we are operating a double standard.

However, if someone really does have an encyclopedic knowledge of BWFC or any other aspect of football, they would be let off I'd imagine. However, this situation has never arisen so far.

It's not the spelling that gets me, it's the use of words like coz, av & woz. What's wrong with 'because, have and was'? They're not that many letters different, surely? I consider it laziness rather than lack of intelligence.
