Dear oh dear, Pablo. You could not be more wrong. The detestation runs much deeper than you think. It was just as strong when they were in the old Div 2 so that fooks your argument straight away.

It comes from 1958 and the bitterness passed down from my father and grandfather.

I am sure there are others on here whose antecedents have bitter stories of the travel back to the north west after that Cup Final and the confrontations which occurred when such things were virtually unknown to football.
