The job lot of programmes is worth a lot.

only says 150 programmes and listing says near all from each season

 

If it was all, you are talking 700+

A 90 minute "best of the best " knocked up from them could make an awful lot of money for charity.....

A 90 minute compilation of classic Dave would be quality viewing, i wouldn't be that arsed about the football - just listening to the best of DH's gems put together would be good enough.

I'd rather watch the interviews than the football. Even though the early 90's stuff was great to watch.

Sorry to be a bit of an anorak again, but I suggest you need to be sure exactly what you are buying if you 'legally' intend to 'copy' the video's on to DVD's and sell them - even if it is for charity purposes.

 

Are the video's being sold as just 'video's' or are you buying full 'title' to them - so that you can legally copy them etc.

 

Seems only fair to Dave's daughters to - if they still retain original title to the material (Roadrunner?) - and ww 'copy' them - then the girls/Roadrunner are losing out on potential royalties.

 

Just think - if ww did actually purchase the full 'title to the video's - you could sue all the posters on here who have admitted in the past to making illegal copies of them!!!

 

I have bought the videos. I don't own the copyright so I wont be selling any copies of them. If I could, I would. I wouldn't be doing it to make money, Just cover costs etc.

I think you may be mistaken there Horwich. I don't have one to hand at the moment but a typical copyright notice reads something like:

 

This video is subject to copyright regulations covering Great Britain and the rest of the world. It may not be copied, electronically or otherwise. Also it may not be hired, lent, rented, re-sold, distributed, broadcast, publicly performed via. internet, cable or any other transmission source . . .

 

Sorry then, according to the law of the land once you buy a video you can't get rid of it!
