I feel Europe's gone now. I'm literally pissed off how we've lost this game when looking so comfortable for 80 minutes of it, virtually. Reading have got a really good run of games left now. I honestly don't think we'll get more than 3 points now.

How do you work that out? Everton lost, Spurs drew, Pompy yet to play

It's the games that we have left that are the problem, everton have a tough few games but have that goal difference advantage. Reading have newcastle, watford and blackburn and spurs are probably capable of beating anyone at the moment and thats not including pompey. It doesn't look good unless we can get something from the chelsea game. Diouf will be out for the rest of the season, don't know about hunt and nolan.

I tend to agree with you

I wasn't so optimistic, but looking at the fixture list i'd say Tottenham should get at least another 8 pts, Portsmouth only around 2, Bolton more than 4, Reading about 5, and Everton only 1. That would mean Tottenham 5th, Bolton 6th and Reading 7th. Of course this means that United and Chelsea both beat Everton.

I also think it is a serious warning to the club, that we need to spend as much as possible next year, we need 6 very good players adding to the squad. and that is over and above whoever we have already signed on pre contract.

If West Ham beat Wigan next week they will be bang in with a chance of staying up.

In the light of those two results they will have had 15 points from their last 7 games and we will have had 7 from ours. I'll be there at Upton Park but I'm not sure how much money I'd put on us getting owt from it....
