Poor lad (presumptious I know), having to face the language wrath of No Balls.

The version i heard, is that Sams son was barred from the Reebok after the Panorama programme, and because of that Sams missus stopped going to the Reebok. Apparently Sam thought things were "just not the same" and decided to bag it at the end of the season,but the story leaked out to the press - so he left straight away.

If this boils down to Panorama and the bung enquiry etc and we are found innocent, we should sue the BBC for everything we can.

 

Essentially - we will have lost our manager from it so there must be a claim there.

 

Still - IMO Sam had had enough, ran out of ideas and wants a new challenge. Knowing Roeder, Pearce and McClaren are under pressure and leaving BWFC in a healthy position he felt it was the right time to go.

I don't know if this may have already been mentioned earlier, but I am reliably informed that our club is to be visited by a team of auditors. They will be looking through the BWFC books to either prove or dispell any rumours that Sam Allardyce was involved in the bung culture which was alledged on Panorama earlier in the season. Sam had asked Phil Gartside for some back-up but was informed by the Chairman that any dealings uncovered by the auditors were the problem of Mr Allardyce and not the club. That unexpected [To Sam] reply facilitated Mr Allardyce's early exit from the club.

I was also told that the arbitruators arbitrators No, sorry, you'll have to make up your own word here! Anyway, I was told that the XXXXXXXXXXX[insert your own word here] are due at the Reebok Stadium to audit the books to try to upturn any evidence of fraudulent occurences. Therefore Mr Allardyce will not get the backing of Mr Gartside. It seems plain and simple to me.

It will be a very thick skinned and two faced man to now appoint the main star of the TV show as his next team manager!
