enzo gambaro Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 Don't make a tackle, whatever you do! Aston Villa still have a chance of playing in Europe next season - via the Premiership Fair Play League. Tottenham lead the table, which is based on the number of red and yellow cards, positive play and respect towards opponents and officials. But Spurs may qualify automatically for the Uefa Cup so second-placed Villa, who are 11th in the Premiership, may end up in the Fair Play draw. Nine other European clubs are competing for the final two Uefa Cup places. "It would be a lovely boost for everyone, if it happens," Villa boss Martin O'Neill told The Sun. "Clearly, qualification is not in our hands so we will have to wait and see." Villa have one Premiership game remaining - a visit to Bolton on Sunday. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...lla/6638309.stm
Smiley Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 Hump it high and long. We win 50% of our games with that method.
Happy Wanderer Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 Tactics are there aren't any. Wait a minute, we've been playing like that for the last 3 months
mickadoo Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 Tactic will probably be defined by who's fit. That'll probably mean having about 7 central midfielders on the pitch like at Chelsea.
Alf Hartigan Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 think enzo was referring to villa tactics, not ours
enzo gambaro Posted May 10, 2007 Author Posted May 10, 2007 think enzo was referring to villa tactics, not ours Cheers, Alf. I thought folk might have picked that up from the thread title. Evidently not.
Ani Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 when we played everton last match a couple of seasons ago was nt it the same situation so a nice quiet game was expected. finshed 3-2 with bruno sent off. the fair play malarky is a bit weird, think goals scored and attacking football also score you points so it could be a case of chhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhharggggggggggggggggggggggggggeeeeee !!!
