Manchester to London on a Saturday - ?13.50 return!

I'll be keeping an eye on this site for future away travel.

Anyone used them?

takes for ever and it is a bus so not the comfiest of seats for 6hrs travel

Tramps travel....end of!

The coaches back from London on a Saturday night during the season always seem to be sold out when i look.

Off to see a mate up in Edinburgh in July; that it's Bolton v Hibs whilst I'm there is an added bonus.

Booked tickets Wednesday to Friday on megatrain.co.uk (Manchester to Edinburgh) and I think it was ?2.50 return; some journeys are train and some are bus.

Tramps travel is the future :good:

I used to use them quite a bit, but I stick to national express nowadays. Megabus is alwas really hot and stuffy and is cramped. If you book al least 4-6 weeks ahead with national express you are almost guaranteed the quid each way fares (and you don't get charged the 50p booking fee).

But when you miss the f?cking coach and have to pay the full standard train fare of about ?90, it ceases to be a bargain, doesn't it Squidgy lad?

Standard one way is 22quid I'll have you know. And I normally just give up after I miss it. I'm not that persistant :p

14 minutes, very good.

What time are you setting off for the Sportsmans Dinner?

Should be ok if he sets off on Wednesday- even Puss in Boots found his way around. Perhaps you should wrap your provisions in a snotty, spotty hanky on a stick next time Sguidgy lad!

I used them when we went to Arsenal match, we paid ?8 return or something like that went down Friday afternoon and came back Sunday afternoon

Had a good laugh just got leathered on there instead journey went really quick that way

Think prices start from ?1 return to London if you book in plenty time

I've been on Megabus several times. It truly is a multicultural experience. I befriended a couple of lads from St Helens who had a million bottles of ale but no means of opening them till I offered to do them with my teeth. Now St Helens to a Leyther is pretty multicultural but also on board were the majority of the Polish workforce, a number of Albanians and a Ghanaian lady with three live sheep in tow and a pot on her head.
