I'm sorry, but we can do a lot worse for ?5m.

 

Given that Nugent is hardly the best proven goalscorer in the fizzy pop league, and is rated at ?7m, along with Harewood being rated at ?5m, we will get the best deal out of all Englishmen signing a pacey 22 year old striker after a decent first season in the Prem.

 

Unlike Harewood, I can't see Lita being a one-season wonder, and even if he shows signs of being a one season wonder, he is years younger, and has more to his game IMO.

 

I'm no fan of Lita as a person, he's had a run-in with the law, he is extremely arrogant and can be hit and miss from game to game, but I for one am happy that we are looking at Lita, albeit as a potential Anelka replacement.

 

I was infact considering writing to the club when he was at Bristol City, wondering about the possibility of sending some scouts down to Ashton Gate to watch him play. It wasn't long before he left for the Madejski, and is being valued at four million pound more than they paid for him.

 

If anything, it's a risk I wish'd we could take more often, signing teenage Englishmen in the lower leagues, as not only can the player become successful, a profit can be made.

Definitely. His touch is superb, and he does contribute a lot more than Lita.

 

But bearing in mind that we are looking for a potential replacement for Anelka, with regards to who is more of a goalscorer, along with the fact that Nuge has yet to play in the Prem, I'd rather we saved a couple of million on Lita.

I think Lita would be a decent signing not really one to get the pulses racing but he'll do his bit.
