I have been reading this thread with interest. The emblem we all seem to prefer is tattooed on my arm. The only other one I considered was the 58 cup winners badge. The poncey fooking tripe with the ribbons sounds like it's just about right for the 'intellectually superior' types who frequent The Wanderer (their words not mine). Carlos, I've claimed nothing of the sort, I said it looked compromised, when IQ58 started his rant, I clarified to him that I meant it could have been hijacked. I don't care one way or the other, but if your looking at statistical evidence objectively, you would look at the results and suspect someone has multi-accounted to get a result they want. The trouble is the sample sizes from all three are statistically too small to be conclusive one way or the other.

I agree - it was much busier but somewhat less intellectual(!) than TW when last I visited.

 

 

And, sadly, if someone comes to a football board for intellectual discussion then it indicates a lack of cerebral stimulus elsewhere in their life. Now, my brain gets a jolly old work-out down at the chess club, the Wittgenstein debating society and for relaxation, feeling pleased that we finally knocked Fermat's Last Theorem on the head. Hang about, "I'm just stating the bleeding obvious, that the WW poll has been hijacked" is a bit more strongly worded than implying that it could have been compromised.

 

I personally don't think that anyone cares strongly enough about the issue to go registering new accounds to skew the poll. I also think that it accurately reflects the demographic range of posters on WW and other sites, posters on other sites may not even remember the older badges. Surely that's obvious?

 

If you want to question the integrity of this site, you do it on this site and this site alone. If you want to shit stir, you can f?ck off back to The Wanderer or wherever you've come from.
