I was thinking the same thing during the match. Anelka is a far far better player. When Johnson went through 1 on 1 he never looked like scoring, Anelka would have buried it.

 

I have never been so happy to miss out on a player than him.

Must hold my hands up, Anelka is class above Johnson. Anelka is class, in every sense of the word.

 

While I think Johnson is good value for what we paid, Anelka was a bargain.

 

AJ is not in great form and is lacking infront of goal, he is still playing really well.

 

BUT, Anelka, even in bad form putts the ball in the net. He is in the top level of strikers in Europe.
