September 29, 200718 yr we made europe after winning just one game at the relegated teams, so yeah, lets have a crisis I think some people prefer a crisis. Gives them something to whinge about. Sammy Lee has just bought himself a bit of breathing space in my opinion with the last run of games. Edited September 29, 200718 yr by trotter58

September 29, 200718 yr I would have settled for a point before the game with the results of late! It's the home games we need to be getting the 3 points from! I would take a point away from home against any Premiership side any day!
September 29, 200718 yr teams like these, somebody said we'll deal with one thing at once if thats ok with you but if we must, we'll mention reading My point was that without the points against better teams (like last season) we NEED to beat teams like Derby, birmingham etc
September 29, 200718 yr should we not have had 7 points from the last 3 and have ended up with 2? course it's a crisis - til Lee goes we are heading for the cola. This is a reasonsble squad of players that he cannot get to play look at brum & derby games, from their squads who would you take? Derby - Barnes and no more. Brum - Larrsson possibly - on paper they would take a few from ours - jussi, gardner, nolan, speed, campo, diouf, anelka etc just not good enough and sooner PG admits mistakes and acts the better I hope we make it into Group stage on Thurs cos it will be last time we will ever see Wanderers in Europe I'll wager

September 29, 200718 yr Well said! Finally someone brave enough not to burry their head in the sand Trust me, son. Brave is something I am. Agreeing with a Jock is not on my list of things to be proud of.

September 29, 200718 yr I won't buy a newspaper tomorrow or watch any football this weekend.Drawing with the worst side in the league is a bad result. The best thing about today was Terry breaking his cheekbone and Drogba getting sent off which suddenly makes next Sunday a match we should be expecting a point from. Lose to Chelsea and Arsenal and he HAS to go. 5 points from 10 games would be complete garbage.5 points from 8 points is just garbage

September 29, 200718 yr Careful, George ..... you'll be disturbing the ostriches on here. cheap shot that owd chap theres no guarantees in lfe plenty didn't want allardyce, they knew it would be easy to replace him i don't think anybody on here has said lee will be good for us just some of us don't see theres any easy fixes to the malaise of the last 9 months
September 29, 200718 yr Today for me is time to face it. [ not suggesting anyone else should! ] On the whole results are very very poor. On the whole my post match moods have been worse. For a brief period at the start of the season the football was extremely enjoyable but even that seems to have gone again now as the old tactics have been desperately reinstated. I support Bolton Wanderers and will only ever encourage and support whilst at the games. I desperately want the man to succeed cos he's our manager and a top bloke! I think the signings of Wilmhelmsson and Braaten are potentially excellent, but thats the only plus for me to the start to the season! Things are NOT going to get better with the current manager.

If the club were going to get rid of Sammy Lee they should have done it after the Birmingham game. That was rock bottom in my opinion. Since then, we've had three tricky away games and a home game against a team that had scored six a few days earlier. We haven't lost any of them. If we win on Thursday, we're in good shape for the Chelsea game on Sunday. I'm not sure that Sammy Lee is the answer long term but hasn't he bought himself some breathing space?
September 29, 200718 yr I'm not Scottish I just lived there. Don't even live there now, need to change my username to Oxfordshire White just to clear things up like, bad enough being married to 1 let alone being accused of being 1!

I know how it is to pick a piss poor user name. I found that out whilst shopping in Manchester one day! Your opinion, albeit shite, is now respected again!

If playing 2 relagation fodder teams, and a bunch of inbred shepheards is tricky, then the rest of our away games may aswel be called impossible.
September 29, 200718 yr i fail to see how not being as negative as others is classed as burying your head in the sand. all season we have not been totally poor, ok results arent great, but theyre slowly but surely improving. there are many decent positives coming from most games thus far, we are creating chances and scoring goals (albeit not many) and we are controlling games. but defensivly we are poor, and that needs serious work. as its been said many times, this form is not since lee took over, its since last xmas. lee is building his own team with his own tactics and he needs time for that team to gel. ok it may take longer because he IS inexperienced and he will make mistakes but he must be given time and most importantly a chance to learn and prove himself. after all we all want the same for bolton wanderers, whats wrong with being postive and supported the players and the manager. fcuk me, some people on here wind me up!!! i off to have a beer now, to calm down a bit. rant over.

Oh dear Derby 1-0 Wanderers (Miller)
