yardbones Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 He took an unfashionable northern club to a league title and regular Champions League football. Left the club and did nowt with Betis. Bit of an unknown quantity really. link
frank_spencer Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 he's got a better pedigree than most of the other candidates put together! he's good on champ manager!

HomerJay Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 one thing for certain, the way we play football will certainly change. maybe thats what we need, a foreigner that hasnt seen the team play week in week out for the last 4 years, then will come with his own idea's.
momomo Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Did a Sammy Lee on Betis when he guided them into the relegation Zone last year though? Do we need someone like that again.
lancaster _white Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 I reckon this fella could do a good job. Deportivo La Coruna were sh1t till he came along and he won them the league and regular Champs League football. Plus he would probably sign Campo to a new deal. OK he fooked up at Betis, but who else is there left to choose from?
Casino Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 probably loads i doubt very much this bloke had entered your head before friday? don't fancy some owd spaniard meself
bristol_wanderer Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 He did well at Deportivo, but he spent fortunes in the transfer market during that period when he ws sucessful. Failed when other teams matched/overtook their spending power, and then at Betis. Too much of a gamble for us.
