Where did I say 3rd division?

Once again, I ask, where is all this money coming from? People think that Davies is a billionaire, he isnt. He was money, why would he throw it all at a football club, especially when the fans are now seemingly blaming him and his chairman.

We are in debt, have a massive wage bill. Please tell me how we are able to give any new manager a kitty to spend.

Right here's the deal, if Megson is succesful then i shall buy a celtic top and walk into Carrickfergus Rangers Supporters club where there will be 100+ loyalist paramilitary piss heads sat there drinking buckfast and shout , right how's first you orange bastards.............. :drinks:

So where is all this money going to come from?

We have debt, we don't have a sugar daddy chairman.

Given that BWFC fans are now turning on the owner and chairman for the poor results, why would Davies put any money in?

Please tell, where is all this money that you suggest we give to the new manager?

We should increase the debt even more?

We should bankrupt Eddie?

Be real

So where is all this money coming from to offer to the new boss?

The money tree?

How many did we take to Rabotnicki?

What was the kick off time at Portsmouth?

What were they charging for ticket price?

How long is the journey?

How had the team been playing?

It is easy to highlight one or two matches, and make a statement about our away support, we have neither a poor or great away support compared with teams of our size, and over a season will still take more to portsmouth, than they would bring up here, same at fulham, wigan, blackburn, middlesborough, derby (if it wasn't their first season up), and even sunderland (when they are crap, their away support is crap). We are a middle of the premiership club (who have done bloody well that last three seasons), run by people who still see us a relegation fodder...well, they are right this season, and whose fault is that?

your comparing our away league following to a euro trip??

f uck right off i gave you an example, do you want more?

west brom arsenal west ham tottenham birmingham not forgetting our crowd busting away following at fulham..

want me to go on

we're piss poor and arseholes crying about ambition are hypocrites

oh and just to totally blow your shite factless arguement we had a far better away support in the old 4th division 87/88

where are they now?

mostly on internet sites moaning about ambition

Samhater stop arguing with yourself, Your clogging up the thread!

And?? 87/88 was our promotion year, the previous season, I don't remember our away support being great, especially the first leg against Aldershot, perhaps you followed us that season, but I doubt it.

My euro fact is valid, as if our support was as bad as you state, how many fans would pay out the money to watch us in europe if the support was poor?

Support at our place has always been determined by our success on the pitch. Our first two season in the prem (both relegation fighting seasons), the support away was always sold out!

Away games cost money.

European games cost a LOT of money.

Fans go to one European away game, and for many that was their football budget for the entire season.

When we only have 18,000 at home, 1500 at Arsenal at ?40 a ticket isn't so bad.

Fans go to one European away game, and for many that was their football budget for the entire season.

You'll find there's a few on here doing more than one.

Well yeah, but that makes my point even more valid.

Some of us would love to go but can't due to work :(

for the last three seasons now the suports been steadely getting worse now you go to a game and there is no attmospher unless you want to sit with yuff witch is just not an option realy, so then you are left with sitting anywhere else where you are surounded by so called supporters who spend the hole game slagging the team off. i now just dont feel like going to the games cause i tend to come away feeling depressed. i went away for the weekend with a group of lads to huddersfield and joined the oldham support for the day, now they are 5th bottom of league 1 and being put thru the agony of watching ricketts do f**k all. despite all this they took just under 3 thousand fans and spent the hole game singing and being possitive. now i have a feeling if i had spent over hundred quid to travel down to watch us at arsenal the attmospher would have been slightly different.

who ever the manager turns out to be give him a chance and stop being so FU*kING negative

away games cost money but we had good support in europe

you couldn't f ucking make you clowns up..

as for 87/88 oh yeah it was a promotion season

come and speak to me next away game and ask me if it was my first year..

clown

Well yeah, but that makes my point even more valid.

Some of us would love to go but can't due to work :(

Grow some, man, and tell them!

Well yeah, but that makes my point even more valid.

Some of us would love to go but can't due to work :(

And some cannot afford it...some can only afford their season ticket and that's it....

glossop at last someone speaks sense..

your lost on here our kid..

george..

my arguement is % of home following that year..

and obviously according to one idiot on here it must of been cheap going to southend, orient etc etc

Edited by william bear

120 to portsmouth is 3rd division

our away support is 3rd division

good bit of truth in that - though Pompey was a good laugh this year, whatever the numbers - BUT what's odd is that in reality they shouldnt be too fussed about whether we deserve it or not as the point is the financial clout now comes from being in the Premier. It's that tv money that makes it a viable business option for Eddie Davies (who is a big Bolton fan at heart - I know this through people who know him very well) and a ticket to fame, status and FA position for Gartside. Irrespective of what they think of us or how we're responding they should be doing the best to keep us in the Prem for their sake. And like I say, in the light of that, the decision to appoint someone to the most important post in a business with ?50m+ turnover despite them having no experience, was odd. And to replace him with someone of dubious record would be equally odd.

But whoever it is I'll turn up and have a laugh and a pint.

:good:

tell me about it there must be only about 20% of us on here that are actualy singing from the same song sheet on this one at the moment. i have a feeling we are out numbered and have no chance of turning this one around

f uck em west ham here we come (if we can afford it)

I've been to Huddersfield umpteen times and we've always took at least 3k - no matter what division we were in.

All supporters moan - that's just the way it is.

Our away support isn't great, but only the realy 'big' clubs get massive away followings now anyway. It's cheaper watching the game on dodgy tv than forking out ?100 for a trip to Pompey, lots now do that - just the way it is.

We took 8k to our big local derby last year btw :drinks: :yahoo:
