1 - Dean Holdsworth

2 - Mark Patterson / Darren Beckford

3 - Whichever clown (FSA I believe) decided it would be wise to rest players for FA Cup ties.

When Dave 'The Cat' Felgate did an overhead kick on the line to clear a late chance for Burnley at the infamous Battle of the Turf (followed by the cricket pitch and all the way to the station) in 1987, I thought 'this is our year'.

However I also thought at that time that it was just for pissing through.

dave felgate..

southampton away..

end of thread

Our club will never win another major trophy.

We blew our chance against Middlesbrough.

Played the first choice side yesterday and we might have still been in the cup with 1/2 the prem teams already out. A bit of luck with the draw and it could have been a trip to Wemberleeee. Remember Millwall got to a final not so long ago.

Not sure about never - that's over dramatic. Ypu never know which Billionaire is daft enough to invest in the club. I'm still hopeful that can happen, even if the rest of you seem content as things are.

We certainly blew our best chance for a long time in that final and I'm not 100% certain about Megson and whether he has the nouse to keep us up and in the long run develop us. Only time will tell.

Looks like we've lost out on Taylor as Rangers are now after him. Rangers, why can't they find their own players?

holdsworth

FFS just when id finally got over it

One FA Cup win and one losing FA Cup final in the last 79 years.

Why no more ? Lots of reasons.

But until 2000 we at least used to compete in the cup ties and saw some cracking games. Now it's just a sad joke.

ignore me, just got up!
