Just a shame he couldn't show the same attitude against Croatia at home, Macedonia at home, Portugal in the Euro's and World Cup and everytime he puts an England shirt on.

From what I have read Capello and his "iron fist in an iron glove" style is the man for the job, think we have every chance in 2010.

I agree that other nations are technically better consequently we should play to our strengths, a high tempo, pressing game.

maybe a reason for this lies in underage football, know its been discussed before, but i was out this morning watching my son in an under 12. the number of trainers that shout "get rid of it" the minute a kid gets the ball is un believable, makes them scared to get it in the first place if you ask me, then as they get older lads who are in defence are only considered good if they can "get stuck in", rather than what they do with the ball once they get it because a good hoof down field will usually suffice as long as they "get rid of it". not saying kids football shouldn't be competitive, it should, but should be more encouragement for kids to "keep it" to develop comfort on the ball. imo.
