Absolutely No Doubt We Will Go Down

Featured Replies

We've lost to Blackburn away and Liverpool at home. We've had very good spells in both games. These aren't games to decide our fate anyway.

We've got ten games left. Three of those games are against Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea. Assuming we don't get any points from them, that just leaves seven games from which to get an absolute minimum of four wins to keep us up. That would involve back-to-back wins at some point which is something we haven't managed all season in the league.

What are you basing the four wins on?

Lot of assumptions there...

Why? Do you think that we'll need fewer than 37 points to stay up? If so, there are other clubs that will get to that total before us looking at the respective run-ins.

the back four aint the problem

7 goals in the last 2 games....The whole team havent SCORED many more than that all season!!!!

The problem is we are shite, Defence, Midfield and up front...end of story.

You forgot the goalkeeper

^_^ ^_^

Can't believe people are still having a pop at Jussi, the guy has been a rock for many years now. When he's gone we'll miss him more than we ever have McGinlay, Okocha, Youri, Gudni, Eidur etc.

In my opinion the fault lies with the appointment of Megson. Did the board really expect a manager who'd done bugger all at a lower lever would suddenly turn us into world-beaters? Megson has had more money than Fat Sam ever had and what have we got to show for it? Cahill looks ok, but the rest are utter shite and a total waste of money.

Megson will lead us into the Championship just as I predicted and the board will be forced to make another change during the Summer. And the worst part? Without Jussi, Diouf & Davies (who will all be sold) I don't think the current squad is even good enough to get out of the Championship.

Your on smack

Your on smack

You know me? But seriously, McGinlay, Okocha, Youri & Gudni were all past their best when they left and Eidur was shocking in front of goal.

Jussi is one of the best keepers around....the majority of you won't realise this until it's too late.

you're not wrong

As long as we agree your on smack though!

He is allowed to have one shit performance. He's been good for Liverpool this season.

You misunderstand me. I think Torres is superb - one of the three I would choose if Bolton could cherry pick whoever we wanted. Just making the point that he was sh1t today on a day when our two centre backs had disappointing games.

I think Reading have an easier run in that us and can pick up some points.

It's the first time I've seen a team try to defend a 1-0 defeat, and weren't good at that!!!!!!

FSA used to always do that. 8-1-1 when 0-1 down and then saying it was a good result????

You're watching a different game to me if you think we are making a conscious decision to go out there and defend a 0 - 1 scoreline. When a team has got the momentum and players like gerrard and Babbel are tearing you apart like they were you have no choice - you are under the cosh and have to try to defend. If anything, in pushing forward when we were 0-1 down (albeit uneffictively) we were giving them more space to attack us.

One thing - I'm glad we gave the murderers the whole end - for once we didn't have a whole stand f?cking empty.

If we can't sell the tickets - then I've no problem with the away fans doing that for us.

I agree that it is hard to attack when you are being pinned back. But having all XI in your own area at times then winning the ball, only to boot it aimlessly forward is no option.

I thought the appointment of sammy 'lets look at the positives' lee was a worse decision then the appointment of Megson.

For the first time this season, I'm starting to worry we may actually go down.

started really well, could have easily took the lead then liverpool score a lucky goal, jussi to blame obviously.

ok, we kept going. davies's chance from nolan crossed should have been a goal, although was great save.

from this point forward heads went down and the team came out for 2nd half with absolutly no motivation whatsoever.

ok nolan going off was a massive factor but the majority of the 11 had absolutly no desire.

i have no problem with players been not good enough, but when they dont give 100% then its bang out of order.

i didnt expect anything from the game before hand but at least go down fighting for fucks sake!

and the only person to blame for lack of fight is megson.

steinson looked a bit wobbly on sunday and was average at blackburn, but is it any suprise with that midfield campo chasing back would be laughable if it was not so serious, steinsons best attritbute is his ability to overlap but he has to stop doing that because nobody can cover, we are crying out for legs and pace all over the pitch, Megson over to you.
