Last Time We Played West Ham In A Similar Situation...

There were 27,160 at the Reebok, and a fantastic atmosphere - Match Report

We had a skilful team, full of passion, and a manager that cared.

Fast forward 5 years - almost to the day.

We have a manager who appears not to have a passionate bone in his body, and appears clueless on tactics.

We have a team demoralised, and I can't see a way of them being galvanised.

We have a crowd 30% lower, that have lost interest, will get on the teams back if we start losing, and loads of them will leave the ground 10 minutes before the end of the game, regardless of the score at the time.

As in the famous George Best quote - 'Where did it all go wrong?'

I think you're in for a long wait.

I have been thinking exactly the same, it had special significance for me as my first son was born the day before, so for me that was my finest day at the Reebok as I was already buzzing and JJ topped it off. So much so that I got that mullered after that when I went to collect my missus and new baby on the Sunday morning from the hospital, the nurse took one look at me and sent me home to sleep it off before she would let me drive them home keeping them in another 8 hours!!!!

Back to the post the difference was back then that we knew if we could stay up there was a new dawn of success around the corner, as well as the satisfaction of sending west ham down. Now the future just holds a big chasm of nothingness, we have peaked and are on they down with a big bump!

To be fair though, we were both in relegation trouble that game. This time, there's only us.

You're spot on though. The passion has gone from everyone, the manager, the players, the board, the supporters.

The way I see it, Saturday will start off with passionate fans getting behind the lads, then we'll concede, heads will go down, fans start booing, concede more, chants of sack the board, concede more, booed off at the end.

I don't want to put myself through yet another Saturday of misery, so i'm not going.
