im happy to trust my club to davies - so long as he can put up with cnuts whinging we've no ambition - gartside, specially if he can oversee another 8 years of success, and megson if he can continue upping the quality of the players

said it months ago but got slagged off for being a negative red ginger, yesterday has temporarily papered over the cracks.

Of our last 8 league goals, Taylor has set up four and scored two. If he's piss poor the rest of our team must be worldbeaters.

 

As for sacking Megson, nobody wanted to manage us when Big Sam left, less wanted to manage us when Sammy Lee left, who the fcuk is going to want to manage us after we've sacked a man who's kept us up against the odds?

the point is that it cheesed a lot of people off, as did Wigan. I can't imagine Wigan being worse than it was.

Megson took over with ten games gone. I think we were one win from 'safety' at that point. Even Spurs only had 1 point more than us.

 

The only reason we've had this 'miracle escape' is because Megson put us there. Up until this last four games we were on a run just as bad as Lee's ten games in charge.

 

Nothing changes for me, Megson isn't up to the job, and what he 'deserves' doesn't come into it.

 

 

Someone else already said it - we have played 2 teams at home who didn't care and we've had 2 lucky results away. I've not seen a thing to suggest we'll be better next season.

I totally agree. Unfortunately most wont and have very short memories.

 

The anger we all felt in Lisbon is unforgivable and he wasnt justified in doing it by losing at Wigan and the following games.

 

He has done his job, pay him off and lets move on.

 

I for one will not pay to watch his tedious brand of football next season.

Pointless thread. Gartside didn't sack Megson when we went on that terrible run from Christmas to April so he definitely isn't going to get rid when we've just taken 10 points from 12. It's not how Chairmen operate.

 

The key to next season is buying a quality midfielder and a goalscorer. Doesn't matter who is running the club or who is manager, if we get those two key players this team is well capable of returning to the top 10 of the Prem.

They had ten men for 85 minutes and were barely threatened! How could it have been easier?

would prefer harper in midfield from reading, also take a chance on Misfud, but we also need proven top class as well as these type of players.
