May 24, 200818 yr This is how it works: Bolton have x number of goalkeepers. Bolton look set to lose one of their better goalkeepers. A keeper of similar stature and ability looks like becoming available. Therefore Bolton must be interested in him. England, Scotland, Wales, Ulster (controversial, eh?) and ireland have failed to qualify for the Euros. The domestic campaign is over and there's no real football news. Papers still have pages to fill.

May 25, 200818 yr Its paper talk i know but even if jussi goes we have Walker to warm the bench and im pretty sure last season team picture had 2 other keeps on there so im thinking another keeper would be a waste of resorces at this time .
May 25, 200818 yr We have relied on Jussi for X number of years, Walker and Al Habsi are both great keepers, Walker has the record but is now getting on in years and is a great keeper to have as a back up, he will do the job. Al Habsi from what I have seen this season in the Uefa and the later games has shown he is a great shot stopper and has fast reactions! However he still has to proove himself over the course of the season that he can keep it up. I am all for giving Al Habsi the chance but I don't blame Megson's apperent will to sign a keeper that has shown he can do it on a domestic and international level. He doesn't want to be fighting a relegation battle next season again and a keeper he can trust at the back all season will make things easier. But i am in agreement what we need first is a Striker that will get us 15 goals a season.

He has advised JJ not to sign a new contract and to see what is out there for him. He is now advising Al Habsi to buy out the last year of his own contract, because Galatasaray want to sign him on a much better deal than he's on at Bolton with a guarantee he'll be first choice.

Swiller Do not believe 99% of what you read regarding our transfers at this stage of the season. It is a case of junior journos tasked with trying to keep readers interested in the sports pages. We will not buy Robinson. FACT. As for Megson - he surely deserves our support next season? His signings have been good on the whole thus far, he has allegedly got more money spend than any manager ever has before, the players seem to respect him, and above all else he is the best we can realistically get, so lets get behind him eh?
