The Mum was worse. Anyone sat supping can after can as a matter of routine as well as smoking with toddlers around the house has sacrificed their right to liberty, in my opinion.

I agree with what you & SWOB have said, but it begs the question - what can be done for these kids?

 

By the sound of it their parents are complete sh?thouses. Being taken in to care is no guarantee of a better life either.

TBH, I didn't think the father was a complete shithouse. The mother was an alecan who just couldn't cope with the consequences of having all these children and so seemed to withdraw herself.The father was rough, an alecan and a thief BUT strangely seemed to care about the children in his own way. Not a good way, but still he did care about them.

You're right there, I said to Doris that the bloke isnt all bad for an alcoholic drunk driver who hasnt worked for years, but as a father it was obvious he doted on his kids, he just needed to sort himself out.

The kids, as filthy as they were (that annoys me, money for ale and fags, none for soap), didnt seem all that bad, they had some sort of 'normality' (if 7 to a bedroom is normal) when Dad was there but went haywire when he was in jail whilst mum carried on sitting on the couch powersmoking.

 

As for her, she could have been 25 or 55, what a f?ckin hag with a snatch like an old welly.
