Bolton step up their pre-season preparations tonight when they make the short trip to Rochdale.

 

The League 2 side will provide tough opposition for Gary Megson's side, as they look to build on Tuesday's goalless draw with Stockport.

 

With another friendly tomorrow afternoon, Wanderers are expected to take half of their first team squad to Spotland, with the other half travelling to Macclesfield.

 

Summer signings Fabrice Muamba and Johan Elmander are expected to make their debuts at Spotland, with Megson eager to see his new recruits in action.

 

Abdoulaye Meite and El-Hadji Diouf may feature at some stage, despite their respective futures in doubt.

 

Megson will also take some reserve and academy players to the game as he prepares to see as many players as possible.
