September 3, 200817 yr Looks very tidy mate. Key questions:- Italian or Indian. Difficult to tell from that photo angle - 125, 150 or 200? If it's an Italian 200cc model, the impulse is to say yes.
September 3, 200817 yr It's a restored Indian 200cc, I'm afraid. Since Ray Kemp of AF Rayspeed in East Heslerton (near Malton) started going over there to advise them, the Indian Lambys have improved in quality no end. My Silver Special is 100% Italian and stands me at $6,500 aussie dollars (currently about 3k UKP I think) so, how much 'Italianising' could you do with a grand? Quite a lot I suspect so, in view of the fact that it looks a very tidy resto job, I would say yes, go for it. If someone off here was going to buy it, I would advise them to persuade Hillofdaub, Baba or Ratwhite to go along with them to cast an experienced eye over it before parting with their hard earned. They would know the pitfalls to look for. Edited September 3, 200817 yr by bolty58

Local experience. Can't beat it. I am a bit out of the UK pricing scenario these days. If it was me, I'd be much more inclined to stump up 3k for the Italian one. Good investment. HOD - you mean George with the Indian GP's, right?
