It's just a few days over 10 years since the 4-4 at Crewe - time bloody flies

In 2 days it'll be 20 years since we won 3-0 at Aldershot in front of 2k - anyone go?

In a week it'll be 30 years since we lost 3-0 at Anfield and I got me first thumping at a game.

only went to 1 of them games and that was the 3-0 thumping at Anfield(we got off lightly that day) remember stood right next to the Anfield fans that day, kepy my parka snorkel hood up all day as the scouse bastards had a penchant for throwing darts at away fans, there was a picture released at the time of a UTD fan with a dart embedded on the top of his head.

Heard they had a liking to sharpened 50ps as well. Cant imagine it these days.

Went to the Aldershot game.

Got a bolton player sniffing poppers before the game.

Was talking to him through a wrought Iron gate, trying to get some free tickets.

1 of our lot sniffed the poppers, said player

"what the fcuks that"

"poppers"

Give us a go them"

"Heryare"

The rest is History.

He scored in the game aswel.

Nicky Brookman then.

Nicky Brookman then.

Who was often on the ale in the King Bill before a game.

One thing i do remember is the programme has a yellowy/orange cover with a drawing of an Aldershot player on the front.

A drawing? Hadn't that great invention, the camera, been introduced to Aldershot yet?

Went to every game in 1978/79, so was at Anfield. Remember nothing. Old age & all that ...

Might have been at Aldershot - vaguely remember a good result there after the relegation play-off defeat, which I was definitely at.

Definitely not at Crewe - even I'd remember a 4-4.

Just attended the Aldershot game.

One thing I remember was that their red shirts were different shades of red - like a pub team

George porn.

Went on the Kop, with my gob well shut, nowt to cheer about that day anyway. Back in mickeymouse land tomorrow, watching the mighty Leigh taking on the team what Bolton give a dozen shirts for Mc Ateer.

Was at uni in Liverpool yonks ago and went on the Kop a few times - not for BW games tho. Except once - League Cup tie in the late 60's. Lee scored a cracking goal on a diagonal run across the edge of the box at the Kop end. Stunned silence, then some muted applause and louder abuse. I heard one guy not far behind me saying 'great goal, Bolton' and stuff. I thought, there's a brave bloke; so I looked round. "Who the f**k do you think you're f**kin' lookin' at, you f**ckin' c*nt" and similar. You just gotta admire the wit on the Kop, huh. Or maybe not.

Anyway, it ended 1-1 and the Whites won the replay 3-2. Great times (well, now & then).

Can't decide between Altrincham or Chorley tomorrow.

Same here, Northwich V Barrow, or Marine V Leigh, just a shame they clash on the same night, i think its going to be Rosset Park. Crosby.

What a pair of games they were! After the replay the scousers were run up Manny Road after they started petty thieving (scarves and sh1t like that) and it kicked off at Trinity St. They lost twice that night.

The return match with Marine is at Chorley. Victory park is being well used this season with Chorley and Chorley reserves plus Leigh Genesis and Preston reserves all playing home matches there.
