Now, this may go against the grain, and I may be on my own, but what has Pihil Brown done thus far that makes anybody think he would be a good manager for Bolton Wanderers?

He still lives here so I'm thinking he still has ambition to come back.

Don't forget our first season back up : coming back from 0-1 to draw 1-1 with 10 men in late September (to go back to the top of the Prem) ....... at Highbury.

And where were we come April ? Beating Ipswich 4-1 to narrowly escape relegation.

Taylor

Muamba

Steinsson

Elmander

 

Possibly, even Riga

 

Because of injuries (hopefully) they have only had a game or 2 together, they ought to be given a chance, as should Megson.

Well done Hull.

 

If we are gutted because one team out of 20 has got a result, it's a very sad state of affairs.

As I said back in early August in response to a lot of people here who were patronising the Stoke fan, I am not too sure about that. Right now imo these 3 look to have more quality and togetherness than bwfc, fulham, boro, newcastle. Hull have made a better start than we did in 2001 6 games in.

 

But it is a 38 game season so things can change, but I cannot see any of those 3 being marooned without a chance come the last game which is worrying.

Brown managed Bolton for 5 games before Sam came think we won them all, he worked with allardyce for 8 years, knew the club knew the players, proved he was a decent coach, he is good at man management, knows how to keep the spirits up in the dressing room, tries to play a nice mixture of on the deck and long football, would have walked over broken glass for the Bolton job, need I go on, in his place we have megson, who to me has 2 redeeming feature 1 he is honest 2 he is reasonable at organising a team, but lacks charisma sparkle and loves to play with 3 defensive midfielders even at home against west brom, come in megson your time is up.

The fact that Megson has fallen out with people at just about every club he's ever been at might not be one of his redeeming features, but it definately shows he's not a yes man.

 

Why everyones talking about Brown as if they've found a way to clone Brian Clough and he's it, is beyond me. Hull are one point ahead of what we were when we first came up (and we hadn't been dicked by an average side), and if it weren't for a journeyman German centre forward we'd have gone down that season aswell.

 

It won't last. And at no point has it ever been a viable option for us to have him as our manager.
