Your opinions please (the three mentioned ta). Barn find just outside Sydney below. Genuine 1965 Italian GT200 (TV200). All checks out with LCGB.

I have first dibs. Only problem is I would have to sell this 1964 GS160 to buy it and do the full monty resto (I have buyers queuing up):-

What would you lads do? Always wanted a GT200. Engine started 3rd kick - no problems.

The second is better for your pizza delivery round. You can stack the pizzas on the spare wheel.

sell the tin box and get the tv

looks a good solid scoot not much work to restore that

Who asked thee Hills boy? ;)

That spare wheel carrier would be replaced by the in line type as used on the Eddie Grimstead Imperial (Baba, HOD, Ratwhite and Bob Da Plumber will know what I am on about)

I apologise for my impertinence and offer this Bolty porn as means of recompense:

Testing me aren't you? 1957 LD125 or 150. Apart from the J range, one of the ugliest Lambrettas ever made IMO. I notice you also reversed the image so that the kickstart and rear brake foot pedal are on the wrong side. Cunning.

Yeah, I was just about to say that

Only Joking. Sell the GS160 and either a) spend all the proceeds on the GT200, or B) as much of the Trojan Record output that you can get on original label.

I'm probably not helping :pardon:

Oh yes. I believe today might have been a great day for me. I may not have to sell the GS 160 or, as was suggested earlier today, my Silver Special. Bloke selling the TV200 wants to take my PX plus cash. Love my PX workhorse but there's feckin hundreds of thousands of them about! I could always tweak another up to be a 130kmh general runabout in future. Only 14,982 TV200's (GT200's) ever made. Got to do this deal on Monday evening.

Looks like it's adios to this one then

Bolty - I would normally always go for a Lammy as opposed to a Vespa, however that is a very tasty looking GS160, definitely my favourite Vespa model.

So I'm pleased to hear you no longer have that quandary, and as you say it's a no brainer to get rid of the PX to acquire the TV for me. The deal will be done by now anyway, so saves me putting my neck on the line!

Keep us posted on the resto, looked pretty straight to me in the picture, trust you'll be keeping it as original as possible?

Deal completed 2 hours ago! Chuffed to feckin bits :yahoo: Been after one since 1970!! Be in my hands at the weekend.

Yes, will be 95% original. Rebore; GP crank; Varitronic 12v and my favourite Ancillotti cutback seat. Original but for that and the Eddy Grimstead Imperial paint job / in line spare wheel.

Sorry - edited to answer athywhite1958 R's facetious comment. If you've never ridden one you wouldn't understand. :p

Almost as elated as when Frankie Worthy knocked in that winner at Ewood Park. Almost, but not quite :D
