Sunderland Season Ticket Prices

I read yesterday that Sunderland have reduced adult season ticket prices last year ?415-?525 if they renew before April 3rd to ?350-?465.

Not only that but if you buy an adult season ticket you get an under 16 one for ?19.

Now there is a risk the Mackems may go down but seems a bargain to me.

I ain't knocking BWFC as they have froze tickets for the last 3 years and junior's was only ?49 this season but think they can do more my reducing tickets further based on the new TV deal.Filling empty seats has to b a priority.

My 2 gripes are

We're living in tricky economic times at the moment where going to football is very much a luxury and every penny counts so ticket prices have to be looked at to fill an empty stadium. My decision to renew next year isn't based what league we're in but whether I have the disposable income to do it.I love going so does junior and we have quality time together. All things equal I'll be there with her next season but as we know nothing is equal at the moment.

Also I've held a st for 17 years, junior for 4.We get no more discount than someone who gets one for the first time.

Loyalty counts for nowt these days.

Yeah mean't adult ticket prices as of course you can't knock junior's at ?49 but as parents normally take there kids, price of adult ones determines whether they go and take there kids.

fact is we are nowhere near selling out.

so we should reduce prices.

normal arguement is getting the place full and fans behind the team helps performances. the way our fans turn on the team and especially manager not sure it would help.

folk dont come cos theyre not entertained, stewards are nazis and megson is clueless

cutting prices wont change owt there

Ay present we average waht about 22K at home, if we reduced the ST prices by 25%, do we think the crowds would be much higher? - It might ad 1K on, but I don't think much more. I think we would have to reduce prices by 50% or so to get anywhere near sell outs, and even them we might not do it.

As Casino says, the entertainment isn't there

Most ex-ST holders wouldn't want to come back...the Reebok is a big concrete bowl on the edge of a retail park....ideal for shopping, but not for getting tanked with the lads on the ale.

But Flying Flute seems to be dong alreet on Saturdays :drinks:

Move the ground back into the town centre. Get a terrace behind the goal. Name it the lever end. Fans would soon come back

none of those things will ever happen though

I think the Reebok is a good ground and has a few decent pubs around it and also it isnt hard to get too and from with the match buses

He's from Little Hulton.

Scotts and Harvester have carpets, furniture, heating and no burnt out XR3i's on the car park.

This makes them decent in his eyes.

are you sure about that?

Yes or I wouldnt have said it.

Even it didnt. Why moan. You can easily go round the town centre and then get the bus to the ground. 15 minute journey! WOW
