In 1997, Bolton Wanderers signed Jussi Jaaskelainen for a whopping ?1 million for which he has made 346 league appearances. (http://jussijaaskelainen.net/) Mixu - 1994 to 1997 season. They had a part of one season together at Burnden Park. Plus both Finnish and possibly both played in the National Squad at the same time (not too sure).

There is some connection between the two - otherwise why would have paid GBP100,000 for him (not a bad price considering how long and how good he is!!!!)
