says nothing about fulham being interested. they are being linked with some nigerian. also no quote from moyes or everton so it's just rumour. Nothing substantial. wouldn't even consider it if/until everton sell lescott.

why would he go to everton, ffs?

why would he go to everton, ffs?

At a guess, more money, european football and also for the prestige of playing for a bigger club. In fact, why wouldn't he go to Everton?

Because he has ambition?

Because he has ambition?

Going to Everton would help his England chances, it sucks but thats the way it is

Because he has ambition?

Therefore Everton at this moment would be a better choice

Prestige, gimme a fuckin break!

If you were to ask every professional footballer in the PL who they would rather play for, given the choice, Bolton Wanderers or Everton, I would imagine that around 99% of them would say Everton. Wether we like it or not, they will always be a bigger draw than we are

Prestige, gimme a fuckin break!

By that, I am alluding to what tyldesley_white is saying, he will have a greater chance of playing for England if he is at Everton, than if he is at Bolton IMO

I just think he has more ambition than to play for Liverpools 'b' team. When he leaves us it'll be for a bigger club than them. Couple more years with us and then he'll be of to Milan or Madrid.

He's already there, so in my opinion, that's drivel. Everton is not a prestigous club by any means. I just see it as a step sideways for a player who could go all the way to the top. They are on the same playing field as us and everyone underneath the sugar daddies/top 4. Lots of fortunate results last season.

That is just the ramblings of a mad man!

But he's made the england squad playing for little ol' Bowton

Boothy, I agree that he is "already there" but I think people have to realise he only made the last squad as virtually every other English centre back was injured. I doubt he will be in the next few squads, unless there is another injury crisis. At present he is probably, at best, 6th or 7th choice.

why? do you not think he could mature and develop into a true world class player in the next 2 seasons?

Is everybody forgetting he left a 'big club' (Villa) to get regular first team football at Bolton ?

Why would he go to Everton at this moment in time when he's making progress with us ?

Didn't Ricketts follow that mistaken path to nowhere ?

at the end of the day, he'll go to who ever pays him the most money, as nearly every other footballer does.

CWP you never answered my question mate. Do you not think Cahill could develop into a world class player in the next 2 seasons?

Say's who? The only people who know that are them in charge of the England set-up. The rest is just speculation, whether negative or positive. Even so, what a big push to be on the fringe of the England set-up. He'd still be down the pecking order if he was Everton...

He could, but then so could a lot of other players. I've seen enough of him to see that he has potential, is he as good as a lot of Bolton fans think he is? - I would say not yet he isn't, but he might be in a few years, then again he might not be

The fact is he's a great prospect and is definately our best defender. I want him to stay but if there comes a time when he wants to leave then f*ck him.

So why would you say 'ramblings of a mad man' when i said in a couple years he could go Madrid or Milan?

I guess that we'll soon find out, as England have a game in two weeks against Holland I believe.

For what it's worth, I think that the England manager would probably pick the following players ahead of Cahill:

Ferdinand, Terry, Lescott, Brown, Upson - Jagielka may also get the nod before Cahill, if he wasn't crocked. I hop eI'm wrong, but I don't see him featuring, unless at least two of those cry off
