Site Supporter MickyD Posted August 6, 2009 Site Supporter Share Posted August 6, 2009 Bazza Undies Smiley DMB Miggy AWO Ryan It took about 15-20 minutes to break the deadlock, such was the prowess of both the keepers. Eventually Allstars went a couple of goals down, pulled one back, went a couple further behind. Think it was 6-2 at the break. Went a further goal down straight from the off and then came back with the next 4goals to make it 7-6. Eventually, with some fantastic finishing by the opponents, the game finished 12-7. I think trying to shoot from the half way line tended to play into the oppositions hands because, apart from the odd one that got through, most were comfortably saved by their keeper who, if we're honest about it, was about as good as we've seen for a while. Then 6-5 with us on a roll and them on the backfoot. But I think they grabbed 3 quick goals, including that immense volley by the "large lad". After that it was tit-for-tat. They were the better team by far though. I was well well off the pace. DMB agreed he wasn't fully fit - so between us we concluded that the "pairings" for subs should be planned better. Saying that, on another night, Miggy might have had 10 goals.
