Reserve Game Tonight

Featured Replies

I might now you mention it

the teams in for tonights game against bburn:

Al Habsi

Hunt, Shittu, O'Brien, Stokes

Lee, Basham, McCann, Riga

Campbell, Vaz Te

Subs: Sheridan, Lainton, Mooy, Ward, Connolly

I'm wondering why Mooy doesn't get a start. I don't think he's played much for the reserves this season. I was hoping this would be the season he would have the chance to kick on and maybe push for a first team breakthrough like basham last year. Hope players like riga, vaz te and lee chung-yong get a good run out though.

I think Mooy would have been given a start tonight, had there not been so many first team squad midfielders in need of match practice.

At this stage of the season, you wouldn't expect Mooy to be ahead in the pecking order over any the four selected. I'm very sure his time will come later this season, as it did for Basham last season.

they could have played either riga or lee-chung yong up front, dropped campbell (whoever he is?) and played mooy. the system could have either been 4-4-2 or 4-5-1. the guy is supposed to have great potential, shown when he was called up to the full australia squad last month. i don't know much about campbell but i doubt he has the same quality or potential as we haven't heard anything about him.

you cant make this shit up....

Bburn have a strong team out aswell. But, Bolton @ 6.25 to win (with draw cover) thats just wrong.

But neither Riga nor Lee are out and out strikers, are they? Javlon Campbell supposedly is.

So, they've gone for an attacking 4-4-2 (2 wingers!) and round pegs in round holes.

To do otherwise would also attract criticism.

Blackburn beat Liverpool a few weeks ago,Shittu and O'Brien leak goals, i don't see many goals in our team.

We beat Liverpool twice last season with a team a bit like the one out tonight.

All I was saying is that we shouldnt be 6.25 to win.

Totally agree. If we put that team out in a cup game against Blackburn and we were 6.25 I would be backing it!

Fair play mate, I hope we turn them over and you make a few quid.

I might go to that tonight.
