They definitely won't be allowed. I used to play 5-a-side with 2 lads who played pro at League 2 level - they certainly weren't allowed to so I'd be amazed if Premier League players are.

Just i believe, apparently some 17 year old Quadriplegic nearly kept him out the team , he's really good mates with the guy that was managing them last season and played a few times for them from what i heard. He was on the squad list on there website so wasn't keeping it hush hush.

Your right there mate I play at Blackburn twice a week, the lights are crap.

It's normally within their contracts that they can't play competitive sport as it can invalidate insurance etc.

 

Not sure they could be banned from a "kick about" with their mates though. A pal of mine is a pro and we've done it on many occasions - no tackling or owt though
