Bramble had goalie gloves with him when he turned up

its not called jjb soccerdome anymore!

Since Zat Knight arrived?

Trafford Park or Blackburn?

I only ask because the lighting at the Blackburn is, as the name suggests, shite and you simply may have been confused and what you really saw was the Little and Large 5-a-side team.

I'm suprised the clubs allow this.

Without any reason to doubt the story and thus assuming it is true, I can only agree with you and thus, I am amazed by the players stupidity.

They definitely won't be allowed. I used to play 5-a-side with 2 lads who played pro at League 2 level - they certainly weren't allowed to so I'd be amazed if Premier League players are.

Exactly.. players must not have life's!!

I highly doubt they we're lunging in at each other or diving about... there's nout wrong with having a kick about with your mates..

I was suprised and thought the same about not being allowed to play, i presumed they were there just to watch but they definitely joined in the game.

Nicky hunt was signed on for Pennington AFC sunday league last season, i think its a disgrace that they risk injury playing outside of club time.

Did he get a game?

Did he get a game?

Just i believe, apparently some 17 year old Quadriplegic nearly kept him out the team :pardon: , he's really good mates with the guy that was managing them last season and played a few times for them from what i heard. He was on the squad list on there website so wasn't keeping it hush hush.

I can't believe they are being so indiscreet - the insurance policy for the player would be invalid if they were injured in a game of 5-a-side.

I wouldn't think the club would condone this TBH I think they'd be up shit street if the clubs found out.

Staggeringly indiscreet though isn't it...

Trafford Park or Blackburn?

Your right there mate I play at Blackburn twice a week, the lights are crap.

Did he get a game?

Or was he injured?

It's normally within their contracts that they can't play competitive sport as it can invalidate insurance etc.

Not sure they could be banned from a "kick about" with their mates though. A pal of mine is a pro and we've done it on many occasions - no tackling or owt though
