Unfortunately, being a diesel, it didn't possess the necessary acceleration. It has since been replaced by another car equally incapable of travelling faster than the speed of light.

'tis true that we'd need to travel for 20 million years at the speed of light...a little longer than the 20 years I mentioned! Maybe we should invent something that travels faster than the speed of light then. Or would we then go back in time? Or, we could send some people into black holes to test whether they really are shortcuts through the universe. We could send Piers Morgan as the guinea pig to map the entire universe for us. Even then he'd still be a cnut.

If we could somehow observe another planet that was inhabited but say, 20 million light years away, and concluded that it was far less advanced than ours but rich with minerals that we quite fancy ourselves........it would be quite a shock to arrive there in 20 years and find some hugely advanced race that decides they quite fancy our minerals themselves. I realise that this requires quite a few assumptions, namely the ability to travel at the speed of light yet also not bothering to have another look at the planet as we get a bit closer. Some of the facts above are fantastic, one of the most enjoyable parts about reading Dawkins' books. I'd settle for looking down at the Earth once in my lifetime.

It's happened twice to me in just over 12 months. It isn't much fun but being professional about it the first time led me straight into a better role. Hoping the same thing happens this time too 2 months of not working is driving me insane.

Migraines aren't much fun at all. I used to get them every 9-12 months but fortunately I have only had 2 or 3 in the last 5 years. Mine start off with pins and needles in my arm and leg (always one side of the body to begin with), then my vision is affected before an extremely painful headache comes on. The worst ones end up affecting my speech and making me violently sick. I've got some industrial strength pills for it but the only solution is to try and get to sleep before most of the symptoms kick in. Lasts about 8-12 hours as well. Not much fun I can tell thee.

I don't think it was (unless there's another version). I think the book you're referring to is called Different Seasons and has 4 novellas in it, including Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption, Stand By Me, one about a kid who befriends an old Nazi and one other I can't remember. Fantastic reading.

My favourite place out of the ones I've been to - been there a couple of times now. Very jealous!!

I love Caribbean food, one of my ex-girlfriends was half Jamaican and used to rustle up some amazing food. Shame there's not more of it around here. I get some good stuff during the week in London though. I think some of islands have quite a large Asian population (Guyana is one I think) hence some dishes containing coconut and the like....

Yeah, pretty sure we did. Counting just the clubs in the leagues now I've been to 37 - would have said it was more than that.

Pointless. The defender doesn't even fall for it. He was definitely one of the best though. Although not at fancy penalty routines.
