Saw it drifting over Chat Moss to engulf the area, not seen it so bad for ages.

Clear as a bell here.

Mind you, I am higher up than La Paz.

Tis a veritable sea pooper

Why do people put their fog lights on the moment there's the slightest mist? I can't see nobhead infront of me's brakelights due to the brightness of the fogs and twatty in the 4x4 behind is dazzling me anyway.

utter and complete dickheads

Fog lights are the cars equivalent of the human appendix.

I thought it was just me, but I never put mine on. & don't get me going on them stupid extra fog ones of the front of macho vehicles. I presume they're missing something in the trouser region.

Though, I do like those fancy little ones on Audis main lights. :D

Fog lights aren't necessary on Audis.

Mobile hairdressers don't go out in bad weather.

Was foggy as fook last night going home from work. Bolton Athy and Leigh were completely covered.

Amazingly enough I'm an Audi driver who isn't a hairdresser....you can choose to only have front or rear fog lights on which is good as rear fog lights are lethal, as someone mentioned, you can't see the brake lights!

Was very foggy on the old M6 last night. Not pleasant to drive it at all.

The M6 is never pleasant.

True but after 12 months of it you tend to forget how cack it is as it becomes the norm. sooner do it than live in Preston anyday!

The Ladies book of Driving Skills contains a number of useful tips for driving in inclement weather. Obviously for me to just cut and paste it all would be against Rule 3 but I don't suppose a little quote here and there would be punshed too severely.

Rule 23.1.(v)

At the first sign of mist, even though visibility is further than you normally look whilst driving, switch on your front and rear foglights. This has the added bonus that everyone else on the road knows you got there first. This makes you a really good driver. So good they ought to give you a bye in the Institute of Advanced Motorists examination.

Rule 43.7.(xiii)

As soon as the first snowflake lands, reduce your speed to a crawl. This makes you a really good driver. So good they ought to give you a bye in the Institute of Advanced Motorists examination.

Rule 56.57.(mmlcxxi)

Sometimes, during a cold spell, your makeup/rear view mirror may steam up. A quick wipe with Fairy Liquid prevents this happening. This makes you a really good driver. So good they ought to give you a bye in the Institute of Advanced Motorists examination.
