i'd like the see the ratio of agent fee against player fee/wages.

You pay an agents fee on deals going out of the club as well as players coming in.

And also for contract renewals/extensions etc.

 

Quite a few players have moved in/out of our club, as well new contracts for Megson, Jaaskelainen, Gardner, Cahill & K Davies amongst others.

surely the players should be paying their agents, not the clubs?

i'd say it was a pretty fucking pointless statement.

 

these figures mean fuck all and lead to unwanted speculation if not provided with somekind of breakdown imo.

That is up to the player but I wouldn't bet against it.

 

Only last week a number of managers highlighted how useless todays player is, needing their agent to do pretty much everything for them.

So that implies that the player's monies are being used paying the agents and so it's not really coming out of club funds.

 

Maybe some clubs refuse to do that where to get someone to join us it's something we have to do ???

It used to be the case that player X's agent would say to his club "how much transfer fee do you want for this player" The club might say ?5 million. The agent then goes to another club and tells them that they can buy player X for ?6 million. If they agree, the buying club pay the agent ?6 million. The agent then gives the selling club ?5 million and keeps a million for himself.
