December 20, 200916 yr well go on then what is it then http://www.wanderersways.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=58507
December 20, 200916 yr I take it that God awful noisy din won then. Sooner listen to my riggers in the tumble drier.
December 20, 200916 yr I take it that God awful noisy din won then. Sooner listen to my riggers in the tumble drier. Aye, they're both as bad as one another to me too. Happen I should try it with George Benson next year!
December 20, 200916 yr And who owns the record label of both songs? He doesn't own Epic, sony do ok Cowell is a share holder in them but cowell will get such a small percentage of any money from the rage song he wouldn't notice. plus any profit Rage make is going to charity
December 20, 200916 yr But Frank, it's still a horrible noise & having now seen them I wonder if they could spend some of the profits on soap.
December 20, 200916 yr Aye, they're both as bad as one another to me too. Happen I should try it with George Benson next year! I'd sooner listen to Gary Glitter than that fucking racket
December 20, 200916 yr I'd sooner listen to Gary Glitter than that fucking racket Who George, a racket? How very dare you, he's a smooth operator!
December 20, 200916 yr Who George, a racket? How very dare you, he's a smooth operator! No you daft cow, those scruffy cunts at number 1
December 20, 200916 yr And we know why you like a bit of George don't we NB!!! Don't be tarring me with your black fisting brush, lady!
December 20, 200916 yr what people are missing here is that cowell is laughing all the way to the bank. them that where going to buy that xfactor rubbish were always going to buy it, they weren't going to be persuaded to get that other rubbish. what that other song has done has made it in to a race and them that weren't going to buy either have gone out and bought in to something that they wouldn't have necessarily got involved in. wouldn't be suprised if cowell orchestrated the entire stunt.
December 20, 200916 yr But Frank, it's still a horrible noise & having now seen them I wonder if they could spend some of the profits on soap. We all know you have shocking taste in music, and i will admit RATM are not to everyone's musical tastes. I wasn't too arsed if it got to number one but i was impressed with the number of people who dislike x-factor enough to buy a 17yr old song, it's reminded me that not all the country are brainwashed consumers of ITV/Simon Cowell identikit entertainment. Journey for xmas number one 2010 anyone? FS- Just a city boy, born and raised in south detroit!
December 20, 200916 yr I hear Rage offered the money to Shelter - so all-in-all - the money went to a good cause.
December 20, 200916 yr On many levels this was always a bit of bollocks. However The Christmas No.1 still has the line "Fuck you I won't do what you tell me" repeated many times and that counts as a good thing.
December 20, 200916 yr so x factor didnt win the xmas number one, but a facebook petition did i'm at a loss
December 20, 200916 yr Sort of indifferent but, like the people power aspect and like, even more, that proceeds will assist the homeless. From what I have seen, much of the stuff from these shows can be classed as muzak as cringeworthy as the worst excesses of the likes of Abba, Boney M and other such abominations which should have been euthanased in their early stages. I can only see good from this apart from folk having to put up with that God awful din. Why couldn't they pick summat British like 'Wonderwall'?
December 20, 200916 yr It's a sad day for music when prefabricated, happy meal shite like RATM gets to number 1.

Every year there should be an old school rock/metal song put forward as an anti x-factor song that way the shite that is xfactor et'al will vanish for good. At a guess the reason a british song wasn't picked is that by the time the ball was rolling on this it was a bit late to change the song Plus the highly offensive refrain at the end always get's DJ's twitchy about playing the wrong version!
Not X factor shite,thank fook
