absoloutly pissing it in the womens curling against russia(who are delightfull by the way!) also well ahead in the womens skelteon bob sleigh amy williams is doing well,miles better than the bird that won gold last time..shes around 8th or somwhere in the back serving the eggnog i think. bobsleigh had to be delayed because it was too sunny and the ice was melting!!..great organisation i must say,hold the winter olympics where its too warm and sunny..theyve already run out of snow!..next games id go for the arctic circle to be safe.

aussie girl was imense..considering she went first and has had 3 head smashing falls this year! mens figure skating on next,then a bit of mens curling(seriously never sounds right!!) as hockey is crap,to be honest i think the nets are too small.

TV does ice hockey no justice, it's a different game live, the pucks easyer to follow and live you see that the hits are hard, bloody hard,I only caught the o/t but that was good

Watched it as I have quite a few Canadian relatives who take this game seriously and have been trying to coax me to a Maples game for years. As you say it was difficult to follow the puck on tv but the two teams seemed evenly matched. Thought the USA shaded it but what do I know. Gave up at full time and went to bed think that the USA would go on to win having come from 2-0 down and equalised with 25 secs to go.

 

Weird to see Canadians getting so excited and patriotic. They kept saying its equivalent to England playing Argentina or Germany in a world cup final.

And the other thing I love about the Stanley cup is that everyone who as every won it has his name on one of the rings, so its has the the full history in one place, and maybe another one it was given to them by a English man
