andrewhod Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 I have 2 friends arriving Mc Airport 9th April 10;20 - they are booked into the Premier Inn Reebok overnight Saturday and I will be finding the tickets for the game V west spam. They are looking forward to a good time and love the atmosphere of english pubs - but my personal distant recollections are from the 70:80's and the good times around The Trotters and Anchor Inn - so what can be recommended today?

andrewhod Posted April 13, 2011 Author Posted April 13, 2011 My Amsterdam friends (Ajax and AZ Alkmaar fans) have noz adopted BWFC as their 2nd club. A great game, great goals, saves and great weather - they checked in the Premier Inn around 1200 and we spent the time from then in the sun at the Harvester - they were the guys drinking half pints (they have the belief that drinking halves keeps the beer colder for longer ! But I had them on pints when they realised you could not just walk up to the bar and get immediate service ----- cultures eh ) They spent Sat evening on Bradshawgate .......and survived that OK Returned to Amsterdam via Manchester city centre on Sunday They had a great time and it will become an annual event
