Winning draw??

Winning draw??

Yeh, we were 295 all out in about 37 overs.

Had them at about 60-3 off 15.3 overs when it started to piss it down. Went off for about 45 mins. Got through to 20 overs with them about 70-4 and that was it. Luckily 20 overs each team is what needed for a game in our league so Got a big winning draw plus maximum batting points and 1 bowling point.

Bit harsh that aha.

I've turned down playing in the cup tomorow to watch Bolton on Sky as I cant get up to Bolton. They best make it worth my while ha.

This was first game of the season and I wont be playing untill mid June now due to being at Uni, pretty gutted, wasnt too bothered about playing untill today and got the bug back again.

You play Bolton League? If thats what its called up Bolton way, always see tonnes of cricket clubs around the town though.

The Cross's still there?

There was no hailstone or rain in blackpool yesterday although it did spit a tiny bit.

However, it lashed it down friday night ... Loved it!

Still, big winning draw but would have won it if I could have got me rubber grip onto me bat in time.

Remember them from when I played CLL as a youth. Tony Philliskirk was often down the Crimble as well with David Cross.

This your first CLL season? Some lovely trips ahead of you to some backward places :dribble:

Yes first season in the CLL, David Cross is also still about, So where do I look forward to going?

walsden was a nice spot and littlebrough, even

but, tbh, i think heywood is as nice as anywhere, its just the water attracting the flies that did for me

plenty of the grounds are up in the hills so much of a muchness

The folk are special in Walsden and L'Boro  Though they are both nice grounds. Ashton and Crompton were quite dated in comparison to some of the grounds and that was 10 years ago!

Certainly used to be good decks at Werneth and Royton. My personal favourite was Milnrow though.
