Olympic Flame

The Olympic flame will be passing through Bolton next year. Although I don't live in the town any more I think its good that the folk of Bolton will have an opportunity to see this event at close hand.

Anyone off here fancy being a torch bearer?

Saw it in LA '84, wont bother again

There's a myth that the Olympic torch relay has been traditional from the start of the modern games.

Not so. It was started in 1936 (Berlin).... All part of Goebbels' propaganda, and sweet nothing to do with sport.
