Club Badge Poll

As an addendum to the yes option - what would you like to see it changed to? Lose the ribbons? Back to the elephants? etc.

That sounds like something the marketing department would say to justify spending a small fortune to stick a couple of squiggles onto part of the old badge.

It does because that is the view of the clubs marketing department. Even the biggest brands in the world change their logos to reflect the current trends.

Look at a can of coke from 97 and one from now. The basics are the same but the overall look is different. It's the same with the Bwfc logo.

The Coca-Cola brand has evolved over the decades, i'm not sure that there was anything particular subtle about our 're-brand'. Pepsi might have been a better example.

Maybe I'm just an old romantic when it comes to football, but I like to think of BWFC as a football club, not a brand.

Football is now a 'product'. Fans are now 'customers'. Sad but true.

Re-branding isn't just about changing a logo.

He's right, it's about changing the consumers perception. I thought the ribbons were to give it a "family friendly" feel.

I think we should go back to an old favourite

I know. It's about massive amounts of bullshitting... and then changing the logo.

I think we should go back to an old favourite

Did that one ever appear on the shirt or was it just the match programme?

Just the programme for one year I think. Thank fuck!

I honest to God couldn't give a rat's ass about the badge and I'm coming up 50. You've more chance of a move back to Burnden, and in my view it's a tiresome, worn out & crap debate. I remember the BBC once changing their corporate image to exactly the same branding, except upright instead of a slight lean. Cost the licence payer about ?2m back then! That was an irritant. This isn't.

I think we should go back to an old favourite
