Sadly probably quite a high precentage of that 2M are perfectly happy sitting on their arses doing fuck all.

 

Mrs CWPs cousin is about 20 (I think) he's never had more than two or three days (back to back) since he left school at the age of 16. I asked him once why he didn't get a job, he replied "I don't need one" - he's happy just working for a few days each month doing odd jobs for folk to get enough cash together to buy his weed. He doesn't drive, as he doesn't need to and him and his stoner mates just sit around doing fuck all and complaining about being skint all the time. Somebody offered him a months worth of work on a building site earlier this year. He lasted about 4 days and then didn't bother turning up again. He then complained when the bloke running the site refused to pay him for the 4 days.

 

I consider my son lucky (sometimes he doesn't!). He left school on a friday and started a trade apprenticeship the following monday and has worked since. He's just about to qualify (and hopefully kept on - different issue) but does wonder how his mates from school seem to be able to go out on the piss every weekend despite not working, while he hurtles around the country for a ton a week. At least he's stuck at it and has already enrolled on his next course.
