OC tells sky that he would like to bring 2 or 3 players in in the window. Any serious guesses or inside info as to who?

i'd still say he was wrong on both counts

 

as JJ and Youri were better players than Hierro on both criteria.

One count he's certainly wrong

As I said "Best player Bolton ever had" -maybe as a centre back he didn't have the flair and glamour of JJ et al but as an absolute Masterclass in his own position without doubt he was head and shoulders above anyone else. God only knows what he was like 5 years before we had him.

aye but Jules was talking about club honours.

 

Hierro had a few very very good games for the club but to put him at the very top of the pile is a step too far for me.

Injuries and potential prison sentences make it difficult to determine exactly who we need to bring in and on what sort of deals.

There's no doubting we aren't in a position to spend much money at all, as if we go down (still hugely likely) virtually every first team player will need to be sold and at a cut price.

Loans are our best bet, and a left back and a forward should be our main priorities.

Hierro is the finest footballer I've seen in my time watching Bolton. he might not have been the same player he was in his late 20's but I've never seen anyone who could read a game like him and had so much time on the ball that he could pick a 50 yard pass at will.

 

Jay-Jay and Yourri were great players too, but in my opinion Hierro was the best of the lot.
