September 26, 201213 yr Anyone think it'd be okay? It does sound dodgy but bonuses are already paid within football. For example : A chairman offers his team a cash incentive if they win a particular game, usually a cup game in the past, this is okay. Whats the difference then for a wealthy fan to offer a similar incentive as a gift etc, didnt a fan pay for us to resign Neil Whatmore in the old 4th ? similar thing, and that would be seen as ok. Is it then such a leap for a wealthy fan of another club to offer the same incentive ? And then a smaller leap for another club chairman to offer such incentive to players of a different club to win a particular game. A win bonus is a win bonus does it matter who legitimately pays it ? It does seem grubby but is there really much of a difference from one to another ?
