The BBC lunchtime news on Monday, the fact this has reached number one was deemed more newsworthy than the fact Eric Hobsbawm had died. They even included a clip of him teaching Ellen Degeneres and Britney Spears the 'horse' dance (the Korean bloke, not Hobsbawm). Loathe him, hate him or don't even know him, surely the passing of possibly the best known living (well, just dead) historian deserves more airtime than this year's 'Crazy Frog'?He got an 'and finally...' bit at the end.
