Oh and I've been to Fiskardo which is rediculously overpriced since Captains Mandolin was filmed there

Get a car drive all round the island, get up to Fiscardo and Aghia Efemia for some of the best seafood I've had

 

We stayed in Lassi and a really quiet resort called Svoronata (but might be too quiet for most - for a week of doing fuck all it was perfect)

 

I'd go Lassi / Scala

Assos if you want relaxed. I went there a few years ago to get my head straight, not sure if it worked, but it's a lovely place. It's a pebble beach though if that bothers you.

Fiscardo is a good looking area.

Really need to go back.

Been twice. beautiful island so make sure you get about, as recommended by other posters. Would highly recommend a boat trip over to Ithica.

If you're going to that part of Greece then Lefkada is even better

 

And Paxos should not be disgarded either
